New cousin, brings new mercies
This weekend I was blessed to go over to Seaside, OR when I learned that my cousin was going to have her baby. It was crazy on Wednesday and Thursday because we were car shopping, trying to pack and booking last minute hotel reservations. (i booked my first hotel online lol) Thursday night we got in, went to my cousins house, visited, then checked in at the resort. I went to sleep at 1:45 only to wake up at 4:50 :P Carmine had a c-section at 6, but she lost a lot of blood. For 2 hours we sat in the waiting room basically knowing nothing. And oh my goodness, I don't know if I've ever felt so helpless. Pacing around, looking at the nurses scurrying about, listening to alarming beeping noises coming from the maternity section. But God is so good. When the nurse came and told us that we had a healthy baby boy born at 7:47 we were so relieved. It was only much later that we learned that the baby had to be revived. He didn't breath the first minute. Gods grace and mercy surprise and bless me every day. Here are some pictures I took ... <3>
